The South African Revenue Service will invest an additional R4 billion this financial year, on top of the R7.5 billion already allocated over the next three years. It’s all part of ‘Project Amabillions’, a drive to strengthen SARS’ tools for compliance, and to go after individuals and businesses that are still owing thousands or even millions in unpaid taxes.
